AutoStarter - Automate complex operations
Review by on
When turning on a computer, we usually spend a few minutes running our usual applications, accessing our favorite websites, dismissing notifications and so on. AutoStarter gives you the possibility of automating such routines without any effort. You can launch several programs and execute various actions at once, just by running a batch file (.bat).

The software is absolutely free and it doesn't need to be installed. All you have to do is download an archive and extract an executable file, after which you can run the program right away. AutoStarter doesn't require any additional tools and it can be used on all popular Windows platforms.

You can set up complex operations by adding a series of tasks in a list, on the software's user interface. Options for adding tasks, testing, saving or exporting the project are located on a toolbar. AutoStarter allows you to choose from a variety of common actions and batch operations, which can be found in separate pop-up menus. When you insert an action, you will be asked to select a file or folder or make other specifications. If the software asks for a path and nothing else, you can still make additional specifications for the inserted task, on a separate window.

Common actions include running a file or shortcut, opening a file with a program, opening a folder, accessing a website and more. When it comes to batch operations, the software places more choices at your disposal. You can insert various actions, like adding text or blank lines, delays, prompts, creating text files and others, as well as "if, then, else" statements.

Different options will be made available, depending on the inserted task. For example, if you wish to launch a website, you can choose which browser should be used. Also, a series of simple parameters can be established for most tasks, on their editing windows. If you type one or more simple commands, like "/wait", "/min" or others, AutoStarter will open a file, folder or program with its window minimized or maximized, with a high, low or normal priority and it can also wait until you close the window, before running the next task.

As previously suggested, the batch operations include advanced tasks, like setting up delays, setting up questions, defining "if, then, else" statements, writing text to files and more. This means that you are not limited to running programs, files or websites. It also means that you can prepare for unexpected issues or set up different actions, for different choices.

You can test the entire operation at any time, to make sure that your tasks are prepared properly. When your work is complete, you can save everything as a single BAT file. Instead of opening multiple programs, websites or folders separately, you can do everything in a single run, by launching the BAT file.

You can automate complex operations step by step. The software allows you to define a wide variety of tasks, from opening a file or folder to complex ones, with "if, then, else" statements.

There are no serious issues to mention.

Thanks to AutoStarter's smart functionality, running a single file is all it takes to perform any number of tasks.
